PAOLA FITERRE
AN EARLY 2020 STORY
Thomas Nickles Project is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Paola Fiterre, featuring a selection of photographs from the series An Early 2020 Story, taken during the lockdown months. The series is a story of silences, loneliness and intimacy.
 
Paola Fiterre graduated from the Superior Art  Institute (ISA) in Havana, Cuba in 2017 and from the International Center of Photography in New York in 2019. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including; ICP's Director’s Scholarship, New Media Grant, the En Foco Photography Fellowship 2022 and the Tory Burch and ICP's “A New New York” artist Fellowship 2021. In 2019 she showed her work next to the artist Renee Cox in a show at the Pen & Brush Gallery and in 2018 she was selected for the New York Portfolio Review sponsored by the New York Times and the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.

Her work has also been displayed in Havana, San Francisco, Bordeaux, Geneva and Mexico City.
