Something to Give is an intimate sculpture that centers on the nature of offering and receiving. It is a simple vessel, and nestled inside is a smooth object, shaped to fit the curve of a hand, inviting touch. This pairing — container and contained, giver and gift — becomes a metaphor for connection and intentional exchange.

The object within is not labeled or explained, leaving its meaning open: I see it as a symbol of something offered without condition. The viewer is invited to pick it up, hold it, and momentarily become part of the sculpture’s quiet ritual. In doing so, the work shifts from static form to shared experience.

By placing a tactile, removable object inside a vessel, this sculpture explores trust, reciprocity, and the vulnerability involved in giving. What is offered is not grand, but small, thoughtful, and honest.
